Introduction to Rowing
:  For people who have never rowed on the water, start here!  This is four session class, designed to provide you with a very basic understanding of rowing.  MORE INFO

Rowing Level 1:  For people who have had Intro to Rowing or some rowing experience in the past.  Small class size, coached sessions, using wide, stable singles. Prerequisite: Intro to Rowing.  Upon registration, you will be contacted to ensure that this class is appropriate for your experience level.

SUN 7:30-9:30am

Rowing Level 2:  For people who have graduated from Level 1 and/or have had considerable rowing experience (usually more than 4 months) in the recent past.  Small class size, coached sessions, using narrower boats.  Upon registration, you will be contacted to ensure that this class is appropriate for your experience level. 
T/Th 6:15-8:30pm
SUN 7:30-9:30am

Rowing Level 3: For people who have graduated from Level 2 and/or are comfortable and independent in a single, and for experienced rowers who want more time in a single for skills development.  Coached sessions.  Upon registration, you will be contacted to ensure that this class is appropriate for your experience level. 
M/W 5:00-7:00am
SAT 5:30-7:30am

Note about Rowing Level 1 & 2:  You may participate in these classes without a membership for 6 months.  After that, RSRC membership will be required to continue in the class.  

Competitive Crew Team:  For experienced rowers (usually at least one year) who want to compete.  Coaching with Peter Figgins, RSRC's Head Coach.  Rio's "Comp Crew" team is a vibrant, fun group of people, who compete at local, regional and national regattas throughout the year.  We are very proud of our team, they have won numerous medals in all events.   Comp Crew practices are co-ed.  RSRC membership is required to compete.  Upon registration, you will be contacted to ensure that this class is appropriate for your experience level.

SAT 5:30-7:30am

Open Row:  For experienced rowers who have graduated from Level 3 and/or are able to demonstrate independence with all aspects of equipment handling and rowing.   Open rowing is only available during class hours (see schedule below).   Please contact head coach Peter Figgins at peterf@rowrio.org to notify that you will attend.  Note: boat priority goes to classes.
