Events Affecting Tempe Town Lake Jan 25th By: Jennifer Blatt

Tuesday, January 14

Per Alicia Steubner, Town Lake Boating Coordinator

Saturday, January 25: The Color Run, 7:45am Start Time: This event will have zero Lake impact but a large impact on access, so please read on. The event has grown to 11,000 plus participants from 6,000 last year. The route will be similar to the Walk for Autism which is: Tempe Beach Park to Mill north, to Curry east, to College south, to Gilbert east, to Rural south, to Rio Salado, then back in the park west to Tempe Beach Park. All Road impact will end at 11am.

Boat Beach Access: You will be able to access parking on Washington from the west, to Lakeview Drive West. You will need to leave the same way.

Marina Access: Main Run Impact will be from 7:50am to 9:00am Note: This is considered a ‘Fun Run’ so PD will stop runners to let cars through, The 202 Exit at Scottsdale will be open, but you can only go north. You can only get to the Marina from Gilbert, you won’t be allowed in from College, that will be the exit plan. My advice would be to be in or out of the Marina by 8am, and not plan on leaving until 9:15am.

Sunday, January 26, 2013: Free and Clear
